...CONGRATS TO ALL OF COACH REILLY'S BOYS WISC CLUB BOYS' TEAMS - CHAMPIONS....

All three of Coach Reilly's Boys Teams who entered the LIJSL Long Island Cup made it to the Championship Game winning TWO Championships.

We all feel that we actually won All Three Games the way our U10 Chelsea Boys, U11 Resistance Boys and u14 Alliance competed.

Congrats to our Girls U12 Blue Thunder Team who were also crowned LI Champions and were trained by both Coach Emily and Coach Dutch.

Congrats to ALL of our Teams who competed at the WISC (and other) Indoor Tournaments this past winter!

You competed with heart, integrity, grit and enjoyment.  We had numerous 1st Place and Runner Up Finished including two WI teams competing in the Championship Game and finishing the exciting game with a last second goal in a 1-1 tie! 1st place was decided by goals against.  Great Job Everyone.  We had Tourney MVP's, Best Defenders, Fwd's and Keeper Awards handed out to numerous individuals.  And most of all, we continued to grow together.

Very Fortunate to have talked with "some of the greats" (at least from my era and in my mind!)

Every one of them were kind, honest, though provoking, intelligent and appreciated my thoughts on grass root soccer and where the game is and where it is going!

Both Eric Wynalda and Hope Solo offered their true opinions and answered questions I requisitioned from them in fine fashion, honestly and quite passionately and thoroughly.

And quite honestly, answers I was hoping to hear and completely agree with and appreciated tremendously.

MPR Trainers Santoro/Dutcher Lead Long Island Rough Riders to UWS Eastern Conference Championship

Holmdel, N.J. -- They helped the Adelphi University women's soccer team to the first Northeast-10 Conference championship in program history, but on Tuesday night ,Santoro and Dutch raised a different kind of trophy for the first time.

MPR Christina Dutcher ('16) and Morgan Santoro ('17) helped the Long Island Rough Riders win its first-ever United Women's Soccer (UWS) Eastern Conference Championship with a 5-1 victory over New Jersey Copa FC at St. John Vianney High School in Holmdel, N.J.

The UWS is a second-division pro-am women's league below the professional National Women's Soccer League ( NWSL), sanctioned by US Soccer through the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA). Founded in 2015 to replace the folded USL W-League, the league began play in May 2016 with 11 teams in two conferences, and currently fields 21 teams in three conferences. All of the squads in the UWS are comprised of college players, aspiring and former professionals and international players.

The victory sends Long Island into the 2017 UWS National Championship semifinals for the first time, though the team won two league titles (1995, 1997) and six regular season titles in the old USL W-League.

Santoro, who set an Adelphi single-season record for goals (24) and points (56)  en route to being named NE10 Player of the Year and an NSCAA Division II First Team All-American, scored twice for the Rough Riders, and Antonino was responsible for the finishing goal. Santoro scored in the 39th minute off a loose ball in the box for the visiting Rough Riders, accounting for the lone goal of the first half, before adding her second in the 51st minute of the second.

Dutcher and Santoro and their Rough Rider teammates will now travel to Grandville, Mich. for the UWS national semifinals this weekend, and the two advancing teams will take the pitch on Saturday, July 22nd at 7:30 PM EDT for the 2017 UWS Championship.

WEST ISLIP ALLIANCE U13 BOYS WINS STATE CUP FOR THE 2ND TIME IN 3 YEARS

June 30, 2017-The Boys-Under-13 Arch Cup Platinum Final on June 10 at Stringham Park in LaGrange could have been dubbed “How the West Was Won” as the West Islip Alliance shut out the West Hempstead Titans, 1-0, in a game between two Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) teams. This is West Islip’s second Arch Cup championship in the past three years.

In the second half, West Islip’s Carlos Lopez struck a 40-yard free kick which hit the crossbar and Drew McGoldrick scored off the rebound. West Islip’s Matt McGoldbrick and Ryan Novara shared the shutout in goal.

“It was a pretty even game. I thought that it would wind up a tie and we would go to penalty kicks but we got it done,” said West Islip coach Rick de Vries.

The West Islip Alliance has been trained by Mike Reilly for the past several years.

Congratulations to Coach Reilly's 2016-2017 HS Seniors

Delaney K. who will be playing at Cortland, Emma B. who will be playing at Kings College PA. and

Lyndsey Sparks who will be playing at SUNY Farmingdale  next year.

All three athletes were 4 year varsity team members and helped guide Islip to its 11th League Championship, 10th County Championship, 3rd Co-LI Championship and 1st State Title since the turn of the Century, Year 2000.

All three will be Trainers in Training while also playing in college and for Coach Reilly's LI UNITED Women's Summer Collegiate Team.

Congratulations to MPR Trainer Coach Morgan Santoro

Congrats to Coach Morgan for "officially" signing a contract with the Long Island Rough Riders.  You are definitely on your path to a professional career at the Highest Level.

"Morgy, is the most talented player I have ever had the pleasure of coaching, " states Coach Reilly. MPR Soccer Training is truly fortunate to have Morgan work with some of our youth teams.  A true role model.

Congratulations to Mary O'Hara from Coach Reilly's HS Lady Bucs 15' and LI United Team squad for being the 1st Freshmen in the C-USA era to earn an All-League nod and Conference USA All-Freshmen Team Selections.  Mary was one of two freshmen to start at least 15 games for D1 Florida Atlantic Owls and competed in all 22 FAU games.  Mary was a 2015 New York State High School Player of the Year in 2015 winning a State Championship and captaining the Lady Bucs to a #11 National Ranking at seasons end.

Congratulations to all of our WI trained teams on a great 2016 year.  A year of major transition with the NEW age grouping.  We successfully accomplished numerous feats both in the standings and our beginning of the season goals.  Congrats to the Girls U9 Academy team for not just finishing in first but also awarded the sportsmanship award by their fellow competitors. That truly is a testament to what MPR is all about.  We will continue to grow and learn together in order to reach our goals and concentrating on learning the game both individually and as a team.

Congratulations to Coach Reilly's IVS team member Hannah Franco

being named 2016 Co-NYS Class A Player of the Year.   This is Coach Reilly's and his school's 5th

NYS Player of the Year award winner and the most from any HS in Suffolk County.

Congratulations to Lindsay Mahoney and Paige Bly of Coach Reilly's LI UNITED Women's Team for their 2016 SUNYAC Championship playing for Buffalo State University.  Lindsay pictured in the middle and Paige right of Lindsay.   Buffalo State set a school-record with 17 wins and made program history during the 2016 season, winning its first-ever SUNYAC title and advancing to the NCAA tournament for the first time.  The Bengals finished the season 17-1-3 overall and were ranked 21st in the final NSCAA national poll. Lindsay and Paige have been training and playing with Coach Reilly's LI UNITED Women's Team the past three years.  This is only one example of some the major success stories stemming from the LI United Team.

  • Long Islanders Voted West Islip Soccer Club in West Islip Best Soccer Club on Long Island!

" I am very honored to have the opportunity to train teams and individuals within the WISC!!! The philosophy of the club set by its President Gary Kofsky is one that is wanted, needed and necessary in today's sports era.  Having grown up and played for West Islip High School as well as played for the WISC travel teams; it is a great privilege to be part of its program once again.  My father was actually the 3rd President of the WISC and it is exciting, refreshing, and astounding to see the club as strong as it has ever been while keeping its core values.  Most importantly though is the interest and care for all the athletes that participate and represent the club on all levels is the main concern and ingredient to its success and its vast rate of soccer girls and boys that continue to play this amazing sport for the same club for such a long period of time.  This award in my mind is not only deserving but it has truly been EARNED!"

    - Mike Reilly

  • Coach Reilly's U23 women's team, the LONG ISLAND UNITED in only its second season (formed in 2009) together won its 2nd consecutive regular season title, overall League Championship and its first "Marion Cup" championship competing in the Long Island Women's Soccer League.  Having welcomed some new faces to this years team having lost several, the United bonded and competed extremely well with one another forging forward in another successful season.  Coach Reilly believes that several players will go onto a higher level of play including the WPSL, W-League and even perhaps the WPS.  It is Coach Reilly's intention to help these young ladies with their pursuit of these avenues.  Such institutions these amazing young ladies compete(d) for include Lehigh, Bucknell, University of Pitt, Dowling, St. Joseph's, C.W. Post, Oneonta, New Paltz, Boston University, St. Rose, Gettysburg, Charleston, and Philadelphia University to just name a few!

  • MPR Training teams up with Revolution Athletics... Familiar with one of "Revo's" trainers was Coach Reilly.  Pat Olchovy who ran track for Reilly several years ago (who went on to play football at Hawaii) Coach Reilly invited Revo to come work with one of his teams.  It didn't take long to realize that similar philosophies to succeeding in sports and how to go about training an athlete and or team was relevant between the trainers.  With similar work ethics, there was no doubt that the relationship between trainers who know and love the game of soccer and the trainers who specialize in speed, strength, and conditioning would be a perfect fit.  "In becoming a complete player not only the soccer skills and knowledge are necessary, but also the psychical conditioning of an athlete as well, " states Coach Reilly.
